Magic Mushrooms on the Lawn

A lot of people probably have mushrooms growing on their lawn at some time during the warmer months. Quite a few people wonder if these mushrooms are actually magic mushrooms or if they are just normal mushrooms. It is hard to say though. Mushrooms that grow on your lawn could be either potent or could just be food and could even make you sick if you ate them. Knowing how to identify various species of mushrooms is necessary for you to know if it is safe for you to eat the mushrooms you find outside.

Species
There is no easy way for you to identify what types of mushrooms are growing on your lawn. Generally you shouldn’t ever think that they are going to give you psychedelic effects because it would be very rare for any hallucinogen mushrooms to grow on your lawn. If you really want to know whether the mushrooms are potent or not then you could take a picture and note all the characteristics. The size of particular areas, the color, how it grows, and various other factors can all be weighed to observe the mushroom and compare it to others online that are in the same species. This will not be an easy task though and most of the time the mushrooms you find on your lawn won’t be able to produce any psychedelic effects.

Just remember that it is very dangerous for you to just eat mushrooms off of the ground. You don’t know what species they are and some of them are better to be left alone then ate. Magic mushrooms on the lawn are going to be rare occurrences so don’t get excited about it. Growing them on your own so that you know what they are is a much better idea.
