Panaeolus Ater (Mushrooms)
There are a lot of different mushrooms found in the panaeolus family but many of them are not considered to be magic mushrooms. That is the same for panaeolus ater because there is no potency in this particular type of mushroom. However, they are usually found growing in cow pasture and in certain areas of forests and usually grow from the start of the spring to the fall.
Potency
There is no psilocybin or psilocin in these mushrooms so you will not enjoy the psychedelic effects and this mushroom would not be considered to be a hallucinogen drug. The only benefits that this magic mushroom could hold would be related to food and most people would not bother with this particular mushroom so there is no real value to it.
There are some magic mushrooms in the panaeolus family but panaeolus ater is not one of them. You will not get high or experience any of the psychedelic effects from eating panaeolus ater mushrooms so it is not worth trying. If you can confirm the identity of the mushrooms you are observing are anaeolus ater and your main plan is to use them as a hallucinogen then you are definitely out of luck because these will not get you high at all.
