Psilocybe Mexicana (Mushrooms)

This is only one of many different types of mushrooms found in the psilocybe family. This species is known for both having regular mushrooms and magic mushrooms just like most species of mushrooms. Psilocybe Mexicana mushrooms are not considered to be magic mushrooms because they are not hallucinogen drugs and they won’t give you the psychedelic effects that real magic mushrooms will give. These are also a lot rarer to discover because they only grow in Guatemala and the southern area of Mexico. These mushrooms will grow between the months of May and October and only grow in certain temperatures. These mushrooms can be found in various large fields but they will not grow on dung. Psilocybe mexicana mushrooms also grow by themselves but can be spotted close to other mushrooms of the same kind just not clustered together.

Potency

There is no psilocybin, psilocin, or baeocystin found in these types of mushrooms so you probably won’t get high at all. These mushrooms will not deliver you the psychedelic effects that only a mushroom classified as hallucinogens can. These mushrooms hold no value to eat because they are relatively the same as any other type of mushroom which can’t produce the psychedelic effects that magic mushrooms can.

If you know for a fact that the mushrooms you are observing are psilocybe Mexicana mushrooms then you will probably just want to leave them alone. If you don’t know for sure what the mushrooms are then you definitely don’t want to rush into eating them because it could be dangerous. These may not be dangerous to eat but they won’t really get you high so there is no major use for them.
