What to Bring When Picking Magic Mushrooms

Whenever you are going out to pick magic mushrooms from the wild you will have to bring a few things to make sure that the job is as easy as possible. There are a lot of things that could assist you with the process to make the difficulty level of the task severely lowered but the amount of materials that you will need is going to depend on the amount of mushrooms that have to be picked.

Containers

You should bring some containers which can be used to store the mushrooms. These containers should be able to let the mushrooms to breathe while sitting in them. Bring around 2-4 containers and that should be enough for a single person that is picking mushrooms. if there are more people or a lot of mushrooms to pick then you should bring a lot of containers with you instead of just a few. If you do not know what the species of the mushrooms is yet then you should still bring a lot of containers so you can put a few mushrooms of each species in a single container. You could substitute with a basket and a couple of paper cups (or tin containers) as well if you have to. Paper bags are also another possible alternative but you have to make sure that you don’t accidently crush the mushrooms while you are moving around.

It’s important that you get prepared before you go pick the mushrooms outside so you don’t run into any difficulties. You want to make sure that you can pick as many mushrooms as possible and if there are a lot of species then you want to make sure to get samples of all of them in case you find one that is potent.
